Balanced Body University Faculty
Joining BBU Faculty
Balanced Body University (BBU) is always looking for talented, experienced, dynamic and motivated Pilates educators to join our team in the US and abroad.
We are seeking teachers who love to travel and teach at studios and health clubs, as well as studio owners and club managers who want to offer trainings in their facilities.
If you are passionate about teaching and want to pass on your knowledge and expertise to the next generation of Pilates instructors, please consider joining Balanced Body University as a faculty member.
BBU faculty members must meet or exceed our requirements and teach in a location that does not currently have coverage through existing BBU faculty or in some cases a Balanced Body Educacation Partner. Please contact BBU to determine if your teaching location is viable as a BBU Host Site.
Teaching Philosophy
Balanced Body has represented diversity, quality and innovation within the Pilates community for 30 years.
Balanced Body University continues this tradition by offering instructor-training programs to fit a variety of needs from group mat and Reformer courses for health clubs and fitness facilities, to comprehensive studio trainings and continuing education.
As a faculty member your particular skills and abilities are respected and developed in order to make you the best possible instructor.
How the Process Works
To become BBU faculty, the following steps are required:
- Fill out and return an application with all of the required information and support materials.
- BBU will review your application and let you know if you meet the minimum criteria (see back page).
- Once approved, you will attend a curriculum-training program through BBU. We will teach you the curriculum, introduce you to the materials and provide a course outline to teach from. A nominal fee is charged to attend the training.
- Curriculum trainings will take place around the country. Expect to do some teaching during the training so we can see you in action.
Upon successful completion of the training program, you will be listed as a BBU faculty member. You will also be eligible for ongoing mentoring support from our senior staff,
business and marketing support, reduced admission to Pilates on Tour and many opportunities to teach!
As a member of the BBU faculty, we work with you to schedule your trainings as an on-site instructor at a host facility or at a Balanced Body Training Center. We provide marketing assistance and class registration. Pay scales vary depending on type of training, location and your level of experience.
